Cancel, a new film of social media era, starring Niko, Santtu, Weksi and other YouTube and social media celebrities, arrives in cinemas on Wednesday 8.10. The film is directed by Tuukka Temonen. The script was written by Pietari Vihula, also known as a stand-up comedian. The film is produced by Solar Films' Hanna Virolainen, Markus Selin and Jukka Helle.

Surprise for Niko and Santtu
The song was written by the film's editor Eemeli Kelokorpi from Optipari. The song came as a surprise to Niko and Santtu.
"We heard it for the first time in the summer when we got to see the first cut of the film. When I heard the song in the intro of the film, the feeling was epic! The chills went up immediately! It was perfect for the beginning of the film and it got me in the mood: this is really happening, and this is really our film!" the duo enthuses.

"Uijuma and Just a prank bro are memes that we have been repeating on our videos for years. We also made a Just a prank bro song of the same name ourselves in 2020, and sold thousands of merchandise with the song's graphics. Kidingsme, which is repeated in the song, is the name of the YouTube Allstars hockey and football team we founded in 2019. With this team we have played all our hockey games in Gatorade Center in Turku and Nokia Arena in Tampere, and football games in OmaSp Stadium in Seinäjoki and Tammela Stadium in Tampere," Niko and Santtu explain.

A film about cancellation and friendship
Niko and Santtu's biggest dream, their own film, will be available in cinemas across the country from next week. In the film, Santtu falls victim to a phone theft, which sets off a colourful series of events. The phone contains extremely sensitive content that, if revealed, could lead to the boys' cancellation. At worst, it would destroy their immense popularity and careers, and water down an unprecedented sponsorship. The race to find the phone is on, with no shortage of twists and turns. The phone must be recovered at any cost. In the midst of a critical situation, the trio must also weigh up which is more important, friendship or popularity? The film is based on an original idea by Santeri Hänninen.
