Dark Floors – The Lordi motion picture

LORDI monsters lurk in the hospital corridors. Dark Floors – The Lordi Motion Picture is a genuine horror film, not suitable for young Lordi fans.

Dark Floors, a horror film featuring monster characters from the band Lordi, will premiere in Finland on 8 February 2008. The film is directed by Pete Riski, who has made a name for himself with his music videos.

Lordi's role in the film is not limited to just scenes, but the band's leading figure Mr. Lordi (Tomi Putaansuu), together with the director, has conceived the content of the film and has been closely involved in its planning and screenwriting.

Lordi has also composed a theme song for the film, which plays during the closing credits. There is no other Lordi music in the film. The score music is composed by Ville Riippa.

The film's production company is Solar Films and it is produced by Markus Selin and written by Pekka Lehtosaari. The project started with an interview with Lordi, who asked Selin to contact him regarding an idea for a film.

Dark Floors is neither a music film nor the story of Lordi, but a real horror film in which the Lordi characters are monsters that get in the way of people.

The events take place in a hospital. The actors for the story, which is told entirely in English, were recruited from the UK.

Synopsis

Dark Floors is the story of a little girl with autism and a father worried about his daughter's health. The father tries to get his daughter out of the hospital. The elevator breaks down and the father and daughter are stuck with the others. When the elevator doors finally open, they discover that all the people in the hospital have disappeared. They find only mutilated bodies and are attacked by monsters. It seems that a little girl with autism knows how to end the nightmare. The escape from the kingdom of darkness begins.
