Heavysaurs

Heavysaurs film will premiere in November 2015.

The whole family adventure film is written by Veli-Pekka Hänninen. He was joined in the writing team by Antero Arjatsalo and Heikki Salo. The film is directed by Pekka Karjalainen and produced by Nina Laurio. The executive producers are Markus Selin and Jukka Helle.

Heavysaurs film is based on Sony Music Entertainment Finland Oy's Heavysaurs brand and the well-known dinosaur characters, who play popular and memorable music for children. Heavysaurs is a partly animated live action film, where the faces of the dinosaur characters are animated to life.

Synopsis

Heavysaurs is a family adventure film in which 10-year-olds Toni and Suvi rescue strange, funny creatures resembling ancient dinosaurs from the clutches of a greedy businessman, Maxim. The creatures, who call themselves Heavysaurs, love eating and listening to loud rock music above all else. But the rescue mission is easier said than done. The children are not the best of friends and everything leads to disagreements. For the first time, Heavysaurs get to know the human world and customs, and there is no avoiding clashes, especially when Maxim is following them. Eventually, the children find common ground and Heavysaurs are emboldened to take their own place, and by playing together they get Maxim to taste his own medicine. The children make friends not only with each other, but also with the Heavysaurs, and learn to appreciate differences and the special qualities of each – beyond the limits of evolution.

Heavysaurs
Heavysaurs, a band of five dinosaurs and a favourite of children, was born in 2009 with the idea of making quality heavy rock music for children. The raucous children's heavy rock band has released six albums, the latest of which, Green Revolution, was released in autumn 2013. Heavysaurs has been awarded the Emma for Best Children's Music Album. The band has sold more than 170 000 albums in Finland alone. Heavysaurs has also attracted a lot of attention outside Finland, and in Argentina, for example, two albums have already been released in Spanish with great success; in August 2013, Heavysaurios was awarded Best Children's Album of the Year at the Gardel Music Awards. Heavysaurs will release the first collection of his career, Juraheavy Evergreens, on 24 October 2014.
