Karalahti (documentary)
Premiere 14.5.2021!
KARALAHTI by Solar Films is a documentary about Jere Karalahti – coming to cinemas!
Karalahti is an honest documentary of a tough-minded Finnish survivor and hockey player, Jere Karalahti, who divides opinion. In addition to Jere, more than 50 people have been interviewed for the film, including family, coaches, journalists, teammates, police officers, doctors and childhood friends from the Tapuli district of Helsinki. The film reveals things about Karalahti's hockey career and its background that have never been told before, and shows how the little boy who loves Tapulikaupunki's yard hockey has made his way from the Finnish Hockey League to the world's toughest professional league, the NHL and the ultra-consuming KHL. The film, produced by Solar Films, is directed by Juuso Syrjä and distributed by Nordisk Film.
In addition to interviews, the in-depth film consists of archival footage and dramatized scenes.
