Tiina Lymi’s first feature will premiere in early 2016

The shooting is underway in southern Finland.

Tiina Lymi is directing her first feature in southern Finland. Still known with the working title “The Hidden”, the movie has started the principal photography in Kainuu in July and the shoot will wrap in southern parts in August. The Finnish road movie will feature an ensemble cast including Antti Holma, Jussi Vatanen, Ville Tiihonen and Lotta Kaihua. The Solar Films production will premiere early 2016.

The shooting has sailed in favorable winds. Comments Lymi: “Everything has gone really well. I am happy about my fantastic cast and the amount of professional crew members around me. The footage looks amazing and I’m very glad that we were able to capture the unique light of the northern parts.”

The genre is partly road movie, partly black humor and action, not forgetting the touching elements. The producer Nina Laurio comments: “The movie is a drama comedy about a childless career woman and an ignored girl from next door and their mutual journey towards an unknown destination, but also, towards each other.”

The movie is the first direction of the renowned actress Tiina Lymi, who has penned the screenplay together with Nina Laurio and Johanna Hartikainen. The movie will be distributed by Nordisk Film.

About the movie:
“The Hidden” is an action/drama comedy about a childless career woman and an ignored girl from next door and their journey towards the girl’s grandmother’s place. The trip from Helsinki to up north will bring together three strong women, all from different generations. During the journey in the wilderness, the women will find each other and also, solutions to their problems.
