The Heavysaurs will conquer the silver screen
Heavysaurs The Movie is based on the brand “Heavysaurs” and the well-known dinosaur figures, owned by Sony Music Entertainment Finland Oy. They play popular and memorable music for children and “child-minded”. The movie is partly animated live action film, where the faces and expressions of the dinosaur figures will be animated.
The enormously popular Heavysaur will conquer the movie screens. Solar Films will produce an all-audiences adventure that will premiere in December 2015. The screenplay is written by Veli-Pekka Hänninen, together with Antero Arjatsalo and Heikki Salo. The movie will be directed by Pekka Karjalainen and produced by Nina Laurio. The executive producers are Markus Selin and Jukka Helle.
The principal photography will commence in September. The casting and other details will be published separately.
Heavysaurs is an all-audiences adventure movie, where a 10-year-old Toni and Suvi will save the odd and amusing creatures, resembling ancient dinosaurs, from the hands of a greedy businessman Maxim. The creatures call themselves Heavysaurs and they love eating and vivacious heavy music.

ABOUT THE BAND HEAVYSAUR
The children’s favorite band Heavysaur, with its five dinosaur members, was born in 2009, from the idea of making quality heavy music for children and “child-minded”. The rowdy kids’ heavy band has published six albums. The latest one, The Green Revolution, was awarded the Emma prize for the best children’s album. The band has sold over 170 000 albums in Finland alone. Heavysaur has drawn a lot of international interest and for example, two albums have been published in Argentina in Spanish, quite successfully. Heavysaurios was awarded the prize for best children’s album at the Gardel Music Awards. Heavysaur will publish their first collection album in October 2013.
