The Grump, directed by Dome Karukoski, has become the most watched movie in Finland in 2014. So far the box office is 275 181 spectators and the 300 000 mark will be broken next week.
The movie is the nominee of Finland for a Golden Globe in the category of the best foreign movie. Dome Karukoski is a nominee for the best director and Antti Litja for the best actor. The composer Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson has been nominated for the best music.
The Grump’s premiere was in September 2014.
