Solar Films makes history – two top positions last weekend
Solar Films became the first domestic production company to hold two top positions in the weekend box office statistics.
Last weekend’s (5.10.-7.10.2012) number one was Vares – The Tango of Darkness, directed by Lauri Törhönen with an audience of 15 602 spectators, and number two The Purge, directed by Antti J. Jokinen, with an audience of 9 113 spectators.
The audience box office records have been held since the year 2000. The Purge has now passed the 160 000 mark and the sixth entry in the Vares series, The Tango of Darkness, is now in almost 19 000, including the sneak previews. The previous five Vares movies have drawn over 520 000 spectators altogether.
