Purge was chosen to the World Cinema series at the Pusan International Film Festival
Purge, which has started phenomenally in domestic box office, will get its international premiere in Busan, South Korea.
Purge, directed by Antti. J. Jokinen, will get its international premiere at the Busan International Film Festival, which is considered to be the most prestigious movie event in Asia. Purge will be shown in the World Cinema series, which focuses on international movies.
Purge is based on the best-selling novel of the same title, by Sofi Oksanen. The movie is a breathtaking story of two women, shadowed and brought together by their mutual past. Purge is produced by Solar Films and distributed by Nordisk Film. The international sales are handled by TrustNordisk.
The domestic premiere of Purge was last Friday and the box office of the opening weekend of 31 151 spectators is one of the best openings of this year. The 17th Busan International Film Festival is held in October in Busan, South Korea.
