Krista Kosonen was awarded for her role in The Midwife at the Subtitle Film Festival in Kilkenny

Krista Kosonen won last Sunday 27.11.2016 the Angela Award at the Subtitle Film Festival in Kilkenny, Ireland, for her role in The Midwife, directed by Antti J. Jokinen. The fifth annual festival is specialized in actors. The festival is attended by leading casting directors of the world and winning a prize in a festival of this magnitude is a great honor.

Krista Kosonen has previously won a prize for her role in The Midwifwe at the Shanghai International Film Festival, an A-listed event and biggest film festival in Asia. She also won the Finnish Film Award for this role and was given the prize of the best actress in a leading role at the Waterloo International Historical Film Festival in Belgium.
