Dark Floors – The Lordi Motion Picture world premiere in Oulu Finland’s biggest ever
An audience of 5,000 people who will also see Lordi’s show.
Solar Films will have a flying start for its upcoming horror film Dark Floors – the Lordi Motion Picture in a giant premiere party at Oulu Energia Areena on February 6. The home of Kärpät, a Finnish National Hockey League team, will host an audience of 5,000 people who will also see Lordi’s show. With its image as the film-friendly town up north, Oulu is the perfect choice for the premiere: Dark Floors was shot there last summer.
The national premiere for the film is Friday, February 8.
Finland’s biggest ever premiere is a cooperation with the Northern Film and Media Foundation POEM and Oulun Kärpät.
Based on an original idea of Lordi frontman Mr. Lordi and director Pete Riski, Dark Floors – the Lordi Motion Picture is a classic horror film expected to make it big internationally. The English-language film was made with UK actors. Members of Lordi star as monsters who chase a group of people in a hospital where everyone has died. We hear Lordi’s music during the closing credits.
Dark Floors is directed by Pete Riski and produced by Markus Selin. The film is written by Pekka Lehtosaari. It all started in an interview where Mr. Lordi said he would like Selin to contact him to discuss his idea for a film. Solar Films produced the film in cooperation with the Northern Film and Media Foundation POEM and the North Finland Film Commission (NFFC).
